Rubystone Solutions
As a newly launched business consulting service, Rubystone wanted to start their brand on the right foot with a professional logo. Some of their key differentiators that they wanted to manifest in the logo were: creative thinking, integrity, ethical values, and professionalism. Also, an inspiring tidbit came from historical accounts of rubies being laid beneath the foundation of buildings to secure good fortune for the structure.
Initial Logo Concepts
Logo Exploration
After reviewing the initial concepts with the client, we decided to give it more of a 3D feel, and less of a flat, symmetrical look. We went back to the raw crystal form of a ruby, instead of a finished, symmetrical stone. The shape of a mined ruby is a hexagon, so we carried over that shape into the new symbol and explored the interior shapes and lines, and we also decided to incorporate the R and S for Rubystone Solutions.

Font Options
Once we finalized the symbol portion of the logo, we explored font options, and chose a very clean, but uncommon sans serif font.
